On February 27, 2025, the seventh "Researchers at School" event took place at Şehit İlhan Küçüksolak Anatolian High School, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of 150 students. The program kicked off with an insightful presentation by Prof. Dr. Sevil Veli, the Coordinator of the Sustainability Office, who provided essential background on the European Union's involvement and the broader scope of the project. Adding to the opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Ayla Arslan from the Faculty of Engineering, who serves as a researcher on the project, highlighted the long-term value and significance of the day's planned activities.
The event continued with a series of engaging workshops and academic presentations that brought complex scientific concepts to life for the students. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Özcan led a session titled "Electricity Generation with Renewable Energy Resources," focusing on sustainable solutions for the future. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Tahir Serkan Irmak and Dr. İsmail Talih Güven conducted a specialized workshop on the "Simulation of Soil-Structure Interaction During Earthquakes," giving participants a hands-on look at engineering challenges and seismic resilience.
