Under the coordination of Sakarya University and in partnership with Kocaeli University, Düzce University, and the Sakarya Governorship, the third "Researchers at School" event took place at Darıca Gökşen Mustafa Yücel Anatolian High School. This initiative is part of the "Science & Future – The Science For Stronger Societies" Horizon Europe project, which also involves stakeholders such as the Düzce Governorship, the Kocaeli Provincial Directorate of National Education, and VakıfBank.
The event, supported by the contributions of Kocaeli University academics, was designed to raise awareness among primary and secondary school students regarding climate change, natural disasters, and resilient cities. Students showed great interest in the presentations and workshops titled "Electricity Generation with Renewable Energy Resources" and "The Key to Sustainability through the Right Words and Visuals: The Greatest Power in Your Hands."
A large number of students attended the program, which opened with speeches by Darıca District Director of National Education Murat Balay and Sustainability Office Coordinator Prof. Dr. Sevil Veli. In his remarks, Balay emphasized the immense value of university academics engaging with secondary and high school students through such scientific activities. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Veli highlighted the overall significance of the project and shared insights regarding the various activities conducted since its inception.
